The subject of my latest rant is about adults who have a "thing" for young Aaron Carter. I imagine some mouths have dropped open in shock, but it's true. More and more, I am reading stories/posts from adults who lust after Aaron. If you're 17 and under, I guess it's ok. If you're 25 or 55, it's NOT. It's SICK. He's 14, people. FOURTEEN. I know in some countries, women are having babies and getting married at 14 years of age (which I still think is SICK, but that's a whole other rant). Lusting after a kid is just sick!

I remember when I saw a picture of the BSB for the first time and how I thought Nick was cute. Then I found out that he was 15 and I was 21. I was shocked and couldn't think of him in any other way but a cute kid.

In case you're wondering how I know that there are such adults wandering our fine continent, let me give you some examples of encounters, posts and stories (fanfic) that I have read in the past few months:

* Names have been changed.

* Linda is 24 and every time she posts to a messageboard or egroup about seeing AC, she goes into convulsions. She gives vivid details about how sexy he is, how hot he is, how she wants to do him, etc. She's followed him on tour a bit and can't seem to get enough of him. According to her, Nick is no competition for AC in the "hottie" department. Yea right. Linda, get a boyfriend.

* Carol's 26 and all she does is rant and rave about how fine Aaron is. "He does not look like a 14 yr. old," she keeps saying. She said if she ever got the chance, she'd proposition him and she's also written in detail want she wants to do to him. First of all, he DOES look 14. Second, that's just disgusting.

Then we have the psycho broad who's 30-31 and was basically stalking Aaron last year. I don't know if she's stopped, but Jane had to hire extra security because this woman was showing up everywhere. She would make obscene and lewd gestures to Aaron while he was on stage, shout sexual comments at him, try to meet him and expose herself, etc… The poor kid was freaked out. Definition of a woman who needs therapy and she needs it NOW!

* Jack is an older man (and by older, I mean at least in his late 50s) who belongs to an Aaron club. He flew many thousands of miles to meet Aaron last month. As I was reading his encounter, the hair on my arms stood up and this prickly sick feeling walked down my spine. The words "pedophile" immediately came to mind. He seemed to know where Aaron was at all times, took many (and I mean MANY) shirtless photos of him, and watched him from a distance, snapping the photos with his zooms lens. The entire story gave me chills. Even though Nick was there, the man did not make any attempts to meet him nor did he even take more than a couple pictures of him. It was all about Aaron. I hope the Carters are aware of this predator are getting tabs on Aaron. Sick - just sick.

Finally, there are the girls who write Aaron porn. I was horrified to open an email last week and see a Nick and Aaron visual. The "author" has explicit Aaron sex in the story. I've also seen a few others like it on the web -- one went as far as writing about Nick and Aaron having sex. I only read a few lines before I realized what I was reading. Totally grossed me out! I can't believe someone would actually write something like that, let alone send it out to be posted on a website. There is NO WAY IN HELL I would post such filth. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but to me that's considered child pornography. Aaron is a child and I will think of him as one until he's 18 years old. When he's old enough to vote and drink (here in Canada anyway), then some of you can fantasize. Until then, please try to keep your unlawful lust to yourselves.

I can understand a 14-year old liking Aaron, but grown women? What does a grown woman see in a kid? If anyone can answer that question, please email me. I'd love to know because I just don't see it. I don't understand it. - Marie-Alicia, June 2002
