I love ALL the In Death books. I can't choose just one so I'm listing a few of my faves below. What do I love about these books? The characters. Eve, the heroine, who comes from a less-than-stellar past, having been raped by her father and left for dead, is now a driven, no nonsense leutenient with the NYPD. Roarke, the gorgeous Irish tycoon who makes you wish you had a Roarke of your own. Their sex scenes alone are enough to buy the books! Then you have the supporting characters, Eve's partner, Dectective Peabody, the funny, appealing, quirky free-ager who is great opposite Eve. Peabody's boyfriend, McNab, who sounds like a total doofus, but one that you can't help love. You've also got Mavis & Leonardo, Feeney, Trueheart... all there and making for a nice continuity. And of course, Summerset, Roarke's right-hand man and the bane of Eve's existence. These books will make you laugh, wonder, cry, smile... a range of emotions that only JD Robb can make you feel!
