Subject: Nick Carter impressed with Never Land
Source: MTV
Thanks: Kayla
Nick attended a charity party at Michael Jackson's Never Land on September 13th. He was suitably impressed with his look around Neverland. "We've been on the rides, helped ourselves from the piles of ice-creams and watched movies in the cinemas. Amazing," he said. The Backstreet Boy, along with his brother Aaron, ended up in a friendly food and cake fight with Michael Jackson.

The Fan Fundraising Effort is auctioning off a Nick-autographed t-shirt to raise money for NCOC. Nick, knowing that's what the t-shirt would be used for, also signed it with one of the bonus songs from NoN: Scandalicious. Subject: Miami Superboat race canceled
Source: [superboat.com]
Thanks: --
After surveying the issues at hand from Hurricane Isabel, Super Boat International is canceling the September 21, 2003 race to be held in Miami, Florida. It is not possible to reschedule to another date because of the World Championship race being the week of November 2 - 9, 2003. For this reason, SBI will award points for Tuesday and Thursday race during the World Championship to go toward the National Championship finals (like was done in 2001 after 9/11 when the Bahamas race was canceled). Our apologies for any inconvenience to racers, fans and supporters that this may have caused. With a hurricane being a category 4 or 5, has so many unknown factors to plan a race of this magnitude.

Subject: Nick Carter Returns to Pop, Hopes to Work with Elton John
Source: [andpop.com]
Thanks: Angela, PDiddy
(andPOP) - Nick Carter surprised his fans last year when his debut solo album was full of rock music. For his next album, Carter will use the styles that made the Backstreet Boys icons. "What I had done on the last album, I had gone out and did rock music," Carter tells andPOP, in Toronto for a charity event hosted by Hilary Duff. "It was rock-pop with a little bit of a rock edge. Now what I want to do is kind of go back to my roots. My up-tempo is going to be pop-rock, with dance music, so I can probably dance to it again. The mid-tempo is going to be kind of Backstreet sounding. Low-tempo is going to be R&B, slow, kind of reminiscent of the Backstreet Boys." While Carter is changing his sound a little for his upcoming second solo album, his rock influences will still be evident, with the help from Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee. "I've got a lot of respect from people like Tommy," Carter says. "Tommy is probably going to be playing some drums on the record with me." He also plans to work with producers Rodney Jerkins, Fred Jerkins, and Teddy Riley, and artists like Snow, and maybe even Elton John. "It's going to be packed with a lot of celebrities that I'm going to be reaching out to this time around. This one's going to be hot. I'm out for blood this time around." Carter will begin recording in the next two weeks. As for the status on the Backstreet Boys, Carter remains mum. "We're on hiatus for right now."

Subject: Nick & Aaron to attend the Celebrity Charity Challenge
Source: [Kids With a Cause]
Thanks: Georgina
I've been told that tickets are available to the general public, at $100 and $500 each (Canadian dollars, one assumes). I've also been told that it's been confirmed by the organisers that Nick and Aaron are going to be there, and that it's been on YTV, but before you shell out that kind of money please ring and confirm for yourself. Who else is going to be there and what exactly the event will contain is a mystery, but here's the scant info available on the [Kids With a Cause] website.

Subject: Nick suppose appear on Live with Regis & Kelly
Source: Marc Lafleur
Thanks: Marc
According to Nick's friend and El Diablo racer Marc, he said that Nick is supposed to take Regis and Kelly out on a boat. They're supposed to tape this sometime on Thursday. I also heard that Nick is supposed to co-host on September 5th, which is this Friday. So get your VCRs ready. I don't have an airdate and there's nothing listed on their site so no nasty-grams if this doesn't happen. I'm just the messenger.
