Paris Hilton, 23, and her equally blonde beau Nick Carter have been showing their affection for each other Hollywood-style-buying gifts!"Paris bought Nick a karaoke machine," a source says. "She said she was buying it for her boyfriend." Although the gift only cost $99.95, Carter 24, knew he'd have to reciprocate to the multimillionaire heiress and he did - he went straight for high-end jewelry. "He bought Paris a beautiful diamond heart bracelet for Valentine's Day that set him back $57,000," says a friend of Carter, formerly of the Backstreet Boys. There's already talk that this relationship is more serious than Paris' usual brand of puppy love. "Paris has signed up for a second season of The Simple Life and she's dreading leaving him," says a friend. "She won't be able to see Nick for weeks." So what's the future for this platinum pair? "Paris and Nick just want to be together," a Hollywood insider who knows the couple says. "She's even thinking about the big M word. That's marriage." Not mayhem.

Subject: MONSTER ISLAND sets premiere date

Director Jack Perez has informed Fango that his old-fashioned creature feature MONSTER ISLAND is set to premiere on MTV Sunday, March 7 at 7 p.m. In the movie, which we previously reported on here and here, Carmen Electra (pictured) plays herself, and gets captured on the titular locale, where a group of young people have to fight off giant insects and other beasts to rescue her. In the great old-fashioned tradition, the monsters were created via full-sized props and stop-motion animation (by David Bowes Productions); the human co-stars include Adam West (as Dr. Harryhausen!), former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter (soon to star in Tobe Hooper's BREW), Daniel (CAMP) Letterle, Cascy (SCOOBY-DOO 2) Beddow, Mary Elizabeth (WOLF LAKE) Winstead and C. Ernst (13 GHOSTS) Harth. Perez, who scripted with Adam Glass, tells Fango that the movie will air in letterbox format with only one commercial interruption, and repeat several times thereafter; MONSTER ISLAND has also been picked up for video distribution by DEJ, with a tentative street date of October 19th.
