NICK CARTER Now Or Never THE first song, Help Me, got me a bit dumbfounded. Had I erred by putting Bon Jovi on instead of the former Backstreet Boys stalwart? Or was it Bryan Adams? Nope. I had the right CD. I joke not. He does sound like Bon Jovi or Bryan Adams almost throughout the album, his ‘new' raspy and crispy voice obviously fooling me. Maybe, just maybe, he has reached puberty. But whatever hormonal change he has gone true, Nick has jolted many with this album. Why, you might ask. He has gone totally in the opposite direction of his labelmate Justin Timberlake (did I just mention his name again? Forgive me, for I have sinned!). This is not as sotong-like as I had thought it would be. This is a happy pop-rock album that has proved sceptics wrong. Nobody thought MTV would give him a chance, but we all know that the songs from this album are riding high. I can understand why, although admitting to liking his music comes as a bit of an embarrassment. Like admitting one likes Modern Talking. He does a mean Bryan Adams in the superb ballads Do I Have To Cry For You and Heart Without A Home (I'll Be Yours). Heck, he even puts on the mask of Def Leppard in the everybody-sing-along American pop rock fare, Girls In The USA, Duncan Sheik's I Got You and Blow Your Mind that has Roxette written all over it. This is different. It's not vintage but it is fairly decent. Now, why didn't he sing like this when he was with the BSB? Hmm... - Yushaimi Yahaya

I went to see Mark Wills and Terri Clark today here in my hometown where I live, and they announced upcoming concerts. April 5th - Nick Carter. They is very reliable too b/c they never announce a artist coming unless it's booked solid unless the artist cancels, but with this being the weekend before Daytona. I'll post with more information as I get it, but it's in Valdosta Georgia at Wild Adventures Theme Park, it's not on the site as of right now, but they announced it today at Mark Wills' concert. It cost $29.95 to get into the park and that gives you general admission to the concert, but reserved seats (they only have 1,000) are probably going to be $20.00 dollars more. More info to follow.

Show: Breaking The Law
Episode: Breaking The Law
Network: (MTV2) MTV2
Date: Tuesday - February 11, 2003
Time: 01:00 pm - 02:00 pm ET
"Breaking the Law" hosted by the cast of the HBO drama OZ was taped at the Bronx House of Detention in the Bronx, NY. The special offers a shopping list of crimes and misdemeanors perpetrated by the rich and rocking. MTV2 presents the music and mayhem from those who have had run-ins with the law including Ozzy Osbourne, R. Kelly, Eminem, Tommy Lee, Old Dirty Bastard from the Wu Tang Clan, Axl Rose, Bobby Brown, Snoop Dogg, George Michael, 50 Cent, P. Diddy and even Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. And those are just a few of the artists who got a little extra publicity for acts committed off the stage. Dean Winters (Ryan O’Reily), Kirk Acevedo (Miguel Alvarez), Harold Perrineau (Augustus Hill), Mums (Poet), and Lee Tergesen (Tobias Beecher) from the cast of OZ, step out of their cells and break the silence on the bad behavior of music stars. The artists in the "Breaking the Law" special may not be 100% guilty, but they represent the baddest of what MTV2 can offer.

According to BSB official Fan Club in Japan, NOT LIKE YOU is not a cover song. It's a song he recorded for NON and even though the song didn't make it on the album, Nick still like it. Feb.5th, Nick had a dinner at the Ninja Restaurant. When he was in Japan last October, he went to that restaurant and now it's his favourite. At this restaurant Ninja performs for guests. Feb.6th, Nick performed in Tokyo. The set list was the same. I couldn't go there tonight, but my friend did. I heard these from her thatvNick dropped his microphone and laughed while he was singing. Band members made fun of Nick. She said that Nick was totally cute!

Nick wore a Sex Pistols black sleeveless -shirt, a black vest, and khaki pants and a pair of leather Converse sneakers. It was 70 minutes concert. He played so hot and wild. Subject: Industry to use pop singers to boost life jacket use

Pop singers Nick and Aaron Carter will appear in an upcoming safety video aimed at popularizing the use of life jackets by boaters and anglers, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) announced on Friday, January 31. "We're into helping to save lives," said Nick Carter, 22, who made a name for himself with the Backstreet Boys. He and his kid brother, Aaron, 14, took some time in Key West during the recent APBA Offshore World Powerboat Championships (in which Nick's Super Vee Class boat won the World's) to appear in the video being produced by the Personal Flotation Device Manufacturers Association (PFDMA) under a grant from the United States Coast Guard. "It's only a cameo performance, a short session with the boys talking to each other," but it gets the safety story across to teenagers," said Jim Zons who is co-producing the video with Bob Black for the PFDMA. "The kids are obviously used to working in front of a camera and working fast. They did it in only two takes," veteran cameraman Zons said. The grant project calls for production of two educational videos, one targeted to consumers, and the other to the boating safety community, including those who retail boating safety equipment. The project will focus on high risk boating segments such as anglers, children, canoers & kayakers, and other small boat operators," said Bernice McArdle, NMMA associate director of affiliates and project manager for the grant initiative. "This is where most drownings still occur and industry has the highest opportunity to impact behavior." The Carter boys are the lead-in to the segment of the video that features actions sports—water skiing, wakeboarding and tubing—and underline the importance of wearing life jackets while on the water.
