At the Philadelphia Film Festival for a screening of his new shocker TOOLBOX MURDERS, Tobe Hooper revealed that his next movie will be a zombie opus called MORTUARY. The project will reunite him with TOOLBOX producer Tony Didio and screenwriters Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson, who scripted TOOLBOX as well as the director’s previous CROCODILE. As MORTUARY (which, for the record, has nothing to do with the early-’80s film of the same name featuring Bill Paxton) is going forward, Hooper’s BREW project, which we reported on here, has been put on the back burner for now.

The Irish boyband Westlife started their tour this week and one of the members, Mark, mentions Nick on their tour book. There's an awful lot of hanging about when you're on tour. What do you do to keep boredom at bay? Mark: Sometimes you get very hyper if you're all sitting together in a dressing-room all day long. Every now and again we might start a mad food-fight, and the dressing-room is covered in squashed banana and bits of chicken! One time we had a food-fight with Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys while we were on the same TV show in Germany. I don't know how it happened, but all of a sudden a cake came flying across the wall into our side of the dressing-room, and we were shouting, 'Where did that come from?' So we threw a cake back and suddenly the entire contents of both dressing-rooms were swapped around! Sometimes you need to let the energy out - mind you, we all had to have a quick scrub-down before we went on the show!
