Afternoon Delight

Howie was subdued the rest of the evening and on into the next day. He was mad at AJ, but partly at himself, too. He should've kicked AJ out before things went too far. Cassandra kept telling him not to worry about it. He was saddened by the fact that his best friend and girlfriend couldn't get along. He made an effort with Amanda -- why couldn't AJ do the same thing with Cassandra? "Howie you need to stop sitting there with that look on your face," Cassandra told him the next evening.

"What look?"

"That "my dog just died" look. AJ's not worth your worry." She settled down on his lap and kissed him softly. "Why don't we go out and do something fun? We haven't been to the movies in ages. I'd like to see Scream III." .

Howie grimaced. "Not another horror. That's all you ever wanna see. That Psycho film festival was enough to make me sleep with the lights on for a month."

Cassandra giggled. "This one's not so bad. Come on, I really wanna see it. I promise to make it up to you later."

Howie raised his eyebrows. "Really? And how will you make it up to me?"

She got off his lap and started up the stairs. "You'll see," she replied mysteriously.

The movie theatre was packed as they expected. Cassandra wanted to sit in the balcony. "There's more room and less chance of anyone recognizing you," she said.

They sat in the very last row. "I can hardly see the screen," Howie complained.

"You won't need to," Cassandra said, resting her hand on his knee. Howie took her hand into his.

They watched the movie in silence for about 15 minutes. Howie was relaxed until he felt Cassandra's fingers stroking his thumb. She somehow maneuvered their hands so that hers was on his package. Howie felt himself stiffen. Cassandra kept her eyes focused on the screen, but her thumb started a rhythm across his bulge. "Stop that," Howie whispered.

She turned to look at him. Their faces were mere inches apart. Howie could feel the heat emanating from her fingers onto him. .

"You don't really want me to stop, do you?" she purred.

"No...yes. Remember what happened in the restaurant?"

She giggled. "I can still taste your sugar. Come to think of it, I need me some more sugar." She unzipped his jeans and pulled his friend out. Howie knew that he should object, but he couldn't. He was, after all, a man. A sex-starved man at that. If this was the only way he would get some relief, he'd take it. He just wished that she'd choose private places in which to have her fun.

Cassandra started massaging him. Howie let his head fall back and closed his eyes. Her mouth was something else. She worked wonders with it. Her teeth raked down the sides, catching his glands in them. Howie let out a little yelp, but that didn't stop her from her mission. Her slow, gentle suckles became a little rougher. "Oh Sandi, keep doing that," he moaned.

She raised her head for a second and their eyes connected. Howie could swear that he saw an evil glint in hers. She bent back down to her task. One of her hands worked magic on his balls while her other one rubbed up and down his shaft. She sucked roughly at the tip. Howie knew that he was quickly approaching his climax. In her more primal need to bring him satisfaction, she bit down on him. This time Howie yelped outloud. He put his hand in his mouth to stifle the rest of his screams as she continued to bite down. Despite the pain, he was done a few minutes later. It took him a few minutes to catch his breath. "Damn!" was all he could say as she looked at him in satisfaction.

Howie and Cassandra celebrated their two-month anniversary that week. He bought her a promise ring and made some special plans. He wanted this to be perfect. He took her to a deserted airstrip in Kissimmee where a blimp was waiting for them. Cassandra was too dumbfounded to say anything but "Oh my God."

"So what's the verdict?" Howie asked once they were airborne.

"Oh Howie, this is breathtaking!"

Howie smiled happily. "I'm glad you approve."

"I've never been in a blimp before. This is so amazing. What other perks come with being famous?"

"This isn't a perk. But Denise, that's AJ's mom, came through for me."

"I see." Her smile faded a bit at the mention of AJ's name.

Howie knew he shouldn't have mentioned him. "Sorry..."

She grabbed his hands and her face brightened. "Hey this is our day. Let's just enjoy it and each other. No talk of anyone but the two of us, ok?"

He smiled, relieved. "Deal." They felt the plane start to descend. "Are you ready for part II of your surprise?"

"There's more?" she squealed.

"Yup! Hold onto me. We're about to descend."

A little while later they were on the ground again. They alighted from the blimp and Cassandra looked around. "Where are we?"

"Pleasure Island."

She looked around, confusion spreading across her face. "This doesn't look like Pleasure Island."

"It's a small private area reserved for celebrities."

"Ooooh! So there are perks to being famous."

Howie chuckled. "Yea, maybe a few. Come with me." He took her hand and led her to a little restaurant a five minute walk away. Cassandra sucked in her breath when she saw the interior. Howie had the owners decorate it in her favorite colors, pink and purple. There were flowers, balloons, and streamers everywhere she looked.

"Oh my God, Howard! You did all this? It looks like a party."

"It was short notice so I couldn't make it fancier, but I hope you like it."

"Like it? I LOVE it! No one's ever done anything this sweet for me." She took his face in her hands and kissed him. "Thank you."

Howie swallowed the lump in his throat. "Don't thank me. Just enjoy yourself."

They sat down at a small table. Two waiters came out of the kitchen area. Howie ordered our meal then sat back and stared at my girlfriend. She looked radiant. "You're positively beaming!" Howie exclaimed. "It makes me happy to know that I'm the one who put that smile on your face."

"This is so nice. Our own restaurant, waiters, and-," she stopped as a man came over to us. He was holding a violin.

"What would you like to hear, Madam?"

Cassandra's eyebrows shot up in total surprise. "I don't know. Howie, you choose a song."

Howie chose a song and the violinist started playing. He stood up, offering Cassandra his hand. "Would the lady care to dance?"

She giggled like a school girl. "The lady would love to."

They swayed to the music for a while. Every now and then, Cass would nibble on his ear or kiss his nose. "This is perfect," she said contentedly. "I could stay like this forever."

"You're perfect."

She looked into his eyes, her own happiness reflected in his. "Howard, there's something that I have to tell you."

"Yes?"

"I love you."

Howie stared at her in shock. His stomach felt tingly, his heart pounded, and his ears rang. Cassandra just stared at him quietly waiting for him to say it back. Howie couldn't find the words. His head was yelling "I love you, too!" but his mouth couldn't formulate the letters.

Cassandra's smile started to wither. "Howard, are you deaf? I just told you that I love you and you stand there looking like I just handed you a death sentence."

Howie blinked, stunned at the anger in her voice. He put his hand on her cheek, caressing it softly. "I love you, too Sandi...more than I thought I could ever love someone."
