Smash Hits - Nick Answers Back We sent your questions all the way to Miami and Nick answered them in his own home. Have you been lucky enough to receive an answer?!? It's taken a while, but Nick Carter has finally answered your questions. Well we did have to send them all the way to Miami. Over 700 fans seized the opportunity to find out what they've always wanted to know. Nick answered as many as he could - after all he's a bit busy being an international superstar - and here they are. Leanne McCue: Would you like to pursue a future career as a director and if so which films would you like to direct?I have never thought of being a director. I think that the next move I make will probably be acting in films. That is really what I'd like to do if I ever took a break from my singing career. Sherly Lin: What did your mum say about your single when she listened to it for the very first time? She absolutely loved it as I think most mothers would love their son's songs. She was in the Florida Keys when she first heard it on the radio and she called me on my mobile phone to tell me how excited she was. It was a great feeling. Nicolette Blacker: Nick would you ever do a duet with your younger brother and sister Aaron and Angel? I have done a duet with Aaron. It's on his "Oh Aaron" album. You should check it out. I have never done a duet with my sister - we fight too much - Just kidding! Kim Marazzi: If you were interviewing a fan what would be the first question you'd ask them? I would ask them why they like my music so much? Rozz Hepburn: When will the rumoured "Carter Album" be recorded coz I am a massive Nick and Aaron fan? I think that is still a rumor at this stage. I think it would be a crazy record because within my family we have so many different influences. So for the moment, I would say that there are no immediate plans for this "Carter Album" to happen. Emma Gately: If you could duet with anyone in the world who would it be and why? It would probably be Steve Perry from Journey. He is one of my favorite writers and singers in the world and I just think it would sound so cool to do a duet with him. Nuala H: Dear sexy Nick is it true that the Backstreet Boy's are splitting up? No, that's not true. We are actually going into the studio early in 2003 to begin laying down vocals for the next record so be on the lookout for a new album very soon. Bibi: Nick, have you got any girlfriend now? And which song do u like the most on your new album? No, I don't have a girlfriend right now. I'm pretty much dating my new album, "Now or Never". Lisa May: When you have children, what do you want to name them? I don't know since I haven't really thought about that yet. I don't even have a girlfriend!!! Kathryn: How has being a part of one of the most successful music groups changed your life? Well I've been in this since I was 14 so I really haven't known any other type of life. Tineke Melkenbeek: Are you (or/and the Backstreet Boys) gonna give a concert in Belgium (or anywhere else in Europe) anytime soon? Wow - I was just recently in Brussels for promotion on a big TV show called Star Academy. I love it there and I hope to return early in 2003 for concerts. So yes I will be back and I hope to see all my Belgian fans. Nouf Bouresley: Do you feel lonely now that you're touring on your own without the rest of the Backstreet Boys? No, I really enjoy performing as a solo artist. Becki / Storm: Will you be making a Nick Carter doll just like you brother Aaron? No there are no plans for any more Nick dolls, I think I'm moving on from that now that I'm 22 years old. Lucy: I heard bits of your new album and the songs My Confession, Do I Have To Cry For You and Who Needs The World sound like they are really good songs, I just wanted to know what song you enjoyed recording the most? I really enjoyed recording the song "I Got You" because it was the last song that I recorded for the album and it has a very special meaning to me. Max Martin and I wrote the song in Stockholm. Beccy: I love your solo single and what I've heard of the new album, I'm a big fan of yours and if I could meet one person in the world it would definitely be you, and my question is who would you really like to meet who you haven't met already? Probably Steve Perry from Journey or Bryan Adams. Chezz: I'd like to know if Nick's younger brother Aaron, has a girlfriend? I hope not ! He's only 14 so I don't think so but if he does have one he has been hiding her from me. Anna Ly: My question is, I've heard that the Backstreet Boys are no longer with 'The Firm' and that you still are so what's gonna happen when you guys regroup? Neither the Backstreet Boys nor myself are with our old management company. Aanna Ly: I was just wondering what is the most personal song on 'Now or ever' to you? Also I love the song Payback - is that song about Mandy? I Got You. No that song is not specifically about Mandy. Christine: My question is, i am one of many adult fans, so how in relation do you think older fans relate to you or react towards yourself and the rest of the backstreet boys? do you think we are more laid back, or do you think we are crazier than your younger teenage fans? We have a very dedicated legion of adult fans and they are as crazy as the younger ones. They come to every concert and sing all the songs. Michelle Taylor: I would like to know who are your musical influences? Bryan Adams, Led Zeppelin, Journey, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Beastie Boys. Sheetal: Is it true that your house hunting in North London? No, I love London dearly and it is absolutely my favorite city outside of the United States but I don't have any plans on moving there right now. Kav: When are you coming to the UK again? I'm definitely coming over for concerts in early 2003, so get ready to see a new side of Nick Carter live! Kelly Hems: I know you love ALL your fans, BUT which country has the best fans?. How do they differ from country to country? I think that in general my fans are a lot more crazy in Europe than in the United States. They have been supportive of my career since I started with the Backstreet Boys over 7 years ago and I hope that they remain as loyal to me in my solo career! Baby Gracie: What's the best thing you could do to make a fan happy? I would dedicate a song to my fans at my concert. Nikita Carter: When are you planing to come to my country (Jordan)? No plans at the moment but I hear it's very beautiful there. Veronica Mondragon: If you fall in love with a fan do you continue with the relationship or do you forget it? I continue no doubt! Rebekah Rowland: What is your favorite thing about being a singer? Probably getting to meet so many cool people and visit different places around the world. |
